Description

Die accessories are auxiliary components and tools used in conjunction with dies to enhance their functionality, efficiency, and versatility in various manufacturing processes. These accessories play a crucial role in die setup, operation, maintenance, and customization, allowing manufacturers to optimize their die systems for specific applications and production requirements. Here are some common die accessories used in metalworking and fabrication industries:

Die Sets :

Die sets are foundational components that provide structural support and alignment for dies during operation. They typically consist of upper and lower plates, guide pins, bushings, and alignment screws that securely hold the dies in place and ensure precise alignment and registration of the tooling components. Die sets come in various sizes, configurations, and materials to accommodate different die designs and applications.

Die Springs :

Die springs are mechanical components used to apply pressure or force to the moving components of dies, such as punches and ejector pins. They help return the movable elements to their original positions after each operation, ensuring smooth and consistent performance of the die. Die springs come in different sizes, load capacities, and spring rates to suit specific die requirements and operating conditions.

Stripper Plates :

Stripper plates are flat plates or assemblies mounted above or below the die to assist in the removal of stamped or formed parts from the die cavity. They exert upward or downward pressure on the material as it is being ejected from the die, helping to prevent sticking, distortion, or damage to the finished parts. Stripper plates can be equipped with springs, air cylinders, or hydraulic systems to provide the necessary force for part ejection.
